This is a friend of ours dragster named cornfield corvette. It has a twin turbo’d 12v71 Detroit Diesel that has been yarded out of a wrecked truck and never been overhauled. It probably has around 2000hp or so including Nitrous. You see this at woodburn dragstrip every August.

Extreme restoration to factory standards as origionally built in March, 1963. 327/360, 4-speed, 4:11 posi rear. Northeast car with extensive rust damage to birdcage & frame. All custom panels & custom front end removed. Optioned with only plastic wood simulated steering wheel & AM/FM radio. 900A paint, STD interior( black).

this is the progress of my vette so far! feel free to ask questions and comment! it started off as a California car we found out from emission controls on the motor, we bought the car from a guy in Indiana who’s uncle had it for 20+ years, he said it was only in one accident where the rear was hit, but we came to find out that it was wrecked in the back and had lots of damage and was repaired, it was also hit in the front and had frame damage where the frame was straightened out. the whole front clip i aftermarket and most of the rear over the gas tank is replaced the motor was recently rebuilt so were just sprucing it up a little bit. the motors almost done and the frame is stripped of parts and rust and is being painted in truckbed liner so it wont peel easily. the body just has to be painted and have both floor pans replaced. the trans. is fine and painted and ready to install. its coming along slow but steady! but yea it needs a lot of work right now, if you have any questions just comment and plz rate it! thx for watching

I heard the screeching tires and the impact from my office, and grabbed the camcorder. Day-amn! This graduate of the Lance Briggs School of Hi-Performance Driving had hit the retaining wall so hard, it sheared the spokes right off the rim of one of the wheels. Steel and rubber doughnut, anyone? Clear, dry road, gentle curve, wide, well-marked lanes, beautiful, mild 50-degree Friday morning — how do they continue to do it? Oh, well, as long as they do, you’ll see it here first.
