Okay before you start complaining we didn’t exactly race. I think once he realized that I could actually keep up he gave up. We tried to get him to do a pull again but he didn’t. Looked like he had it lowered defiantly some wide tires and torsion bar upgrade.This guy about wrecked his shit. I think he had a little more power then he could handle. Fun time I solute this fellow racer for at least using his car.

Built in St. Louis Missouri and delivered to Burt Greenwald Chevrolet in Akron Ohio, this exclusive ’77 Corvette still carries every bit of its original GM code 19 paint. Under that newly reintroduced for 1977 black lacquer the cars sinuous fiberglass body presents as factory correct and has never been completely disassembled or received any major modifications. Despite the car never being damaged in any significant way, it has survived 34 years of Midwest weather so there are some minor chips and scratches which build both originality and appeal. Overall, it’s a clean, well maintained all original car that still proudly displays its factory panel alignment and provides a level personality and character that just can’t be found in fully restored trailer queens. Tilt the black fiberglass hood and you’ll find an original L48 350 cubic inch V8 that’s topped by an original Rochester Quadrajet 4-barrel carburetor and a pristine single snorkel satin black air cleaner. Below that Quadrajet, the car’s engine block, intake and valve covers sport GMs new for 1977 corporate blue paint scheme, and reproduction GM hoses carry coolant back and forth to the radiator. The intent here is not to show how fast a soda blaster can strip a coating (although it does) but to show soda blasting as a restoration tool having the ability to not just strip coatings but that it can also layer and feather the coating removal. And finally, to show completed results which have not damaged the gel coat or aluminum surfaces. This restoration project is removing several layers of paint. This removal rate will vary from approx. 100 sq. ft. to 250 sq. ft. per hour depending on type of paint and number of layers of coating.
